3:51 PMBOOK REVIEW
So I never managed to get around to that short story, but maybe later tonight I'll start it? I don't know though.
HOWEVER, I will do the book/music review now. I didn't mean for it to be this long, so I'll be doing different posts.
Within the past year, I'll say I have read AT LEAST 20 books. Maybe more, small chance of it being less. But right now, my favorite ones I've read are Grimm, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel(which is a series), The Mark of Athena, A Song of Ice and Fire(series which is better known as A Game Of Thrones), Peeps and its sequel The Last Days, and Strange Sweet Song. All of these are absolutely wonderful and well done, and I would re-read them all (Like how I'm re-reading the Nobel Warriors series right now!).
Grimm is a collection of fairytales or other stories twisted about into these mini-stories that make me go WHAT THE HELL or OH MY GOD at one point or another [warning: don't recommend for those who aren't fans of gore/death/general violence in literature].
I've mentioned the series of Flamel before so I won't go into that now.
The Mark of Athena is like every other book in Riordan's series, Heroes of Olympus: all the twists, turns, ups and downs of characters, things other characters don't know but you do, and the small-ish cliffhangers that are leaving me waiting for the next book.
I loved A Game of Thrones, and I need to finish A Clash of Kings, but there's something about them that makes them difficult to go through. Like, they aren't BAD, but something about them is SO SLOW sometimes.
For me, anything Westerfeld has written so far is AMAZING, but that's me. It's essentially about vampires, and how this nerdy guy who knows all kinds of weird diseases and things thinks of it, at least in Peeps. The Last Days is about a group of younger musicians start forming a band while one of their friends is infected. That was was fawesome to read (ignore that reference, please?).
And I feel like I've talk about Strange Sweet Song before, so I'll leave that there.
I'll see you all in the next post about music!
