Fantastic Dealings(magical lore)
The rain drip, drip, dripped, slowly rolling off of the leaves in the canopy of trees left deep in the Sacred Wood. The few who still traveled to the Wood could be sure in the fact they were protected by the spirit trees around them.
The place rejuvenated a person’s soul and made their Third Eye clear once more, or for the first time.
There was a person, neither a man nor a woman, who simply existed within the premise of the Wood. Their hair was streaked all colors that were natural, clothes plain and worn with a sense of comfort and silent dignity. Those who entered always saw this person, sitting in the middle, drinking up the day above them no matter the conditions.
This day, the rain poured in a slow, syrupy form down onto their face. The newcomer stared at this person, so calm and at home, in this place. This day, the human in white said to the newcomer, “I will relinquish my power to you since I deem you worthy. But only if you wish it.”
The newcomer replied, “If it’s your will.”
The newcomer sat in the person’s spot and decided to meditate when the person in white made no move.
What seemed many hours later, there was a warmth that got rid of every chill he had ever felt since the day he was born upon his shoulder. He felt something nearly ancient and full of power flow through him.
He opened his eyes and the white clothing was laid below a sapling, slowly degrading as he watched. He flexed his hands and summoned a small flame, something he could do but not well. His entire palm filled with a ball of fire.
The man stood, in shock. Then he felt the many presences within his mind and was once more at ease. That day, he controlled his Third Eye.
Each word he spoke brought forth a new power. He helped the trees grow; he had the winds move slowly yet surely. He brought new creatures forth; he got rid of creatures too old to continue on.
Some who saw him may call him a god or a great psychic. But he wasn’t.
He was only a man who realized his potential due to another.
