It's 2 AM where I live, so I dunno why I'm awake if I'm being honest, but here's a quick(ish) update while I'm thinking about it! WARNING: Some paragraphs may be long and what I remember saying may be slightly different. This is my apology/warning.
I went to a haunted trail with my friend's parents, her cousin, and the two of us. It was basically just a haunted house expanded out and damn close to being in the middle of the forest. But, while in the few haunted houses I've been to, I haven't been really scared and I would just say hi or something to the actors. But I had full on conversations with these people. The best one was this dude who was covered in what looked like leaves (middle of the forest, y'know?) and he was just staring at us, so we were like dude, where do we go, but he just slowly walked towards us, so we kept on walking. But after he had kinda scared my friends, I had just said hi and kept walking, so he started following me. He was close enough that, in the dark, I could basically see his face, and he seemed set on scaring me. So when I kept walking with this dude over my shoulder (actors can't touch the people) and I just looked him in the eye and said: "So are you going to keep walking with us? Going on a walk with us? Are you going to just keep following us, because that's fine, we're just going on a stroll." He didn't respond, but when I started to face forward again, he said, "Pssst. I'm going to eat you." I replied, "But, you know, I kinda need all this *gestures to body* right now." He shook his head and I was like, "No? Okay that's fine then." But he had already started walking away. It was great.
I also discovered animals really like me. My friend's dog gets hella excited and jumpy and generally crazy when I play with him. My dog is always hella happy to have me back home. But there was also a thing with cats. A cat was trying to get inside an apartment, and was clawing at the screen and mewing to get inside. The other was running over there, but stopped when it saw me, walked over to me, and made little cat noises at me. So I held my hand out so it could smell me (I would rather not be scratched by a cat if it decides it doesn't) and it seemed a little hesitant, but I had to just pat it's head and walk away when it seemed okay. I would have totally sat down and hung out with it, but my friend was waiting for me to get inside my apartment and I didn't want to make her wait.
AND A NANO UPDATE: I'm doing it, but I'm aiming for a short story a day. It's just going to be a short story collection, and I'm really aiming for like 30k words. I'll hopefully be updating more throughout the month!
But yeah. That's it for now! I'm going to bed, so good night everyone.
